TAKEFU CORELESS ®
CORELESS® is a multi-layered steel using a new production technique with Takefu Special Steels expertise in the production of multi-layered stainless steel.
The steel is clad from 2 different types of high carbon stainless steels, VG10 is one of them, into dozens upon dozens of layers utilizing their unique rolling technique, achieving maximally refined carbide,improved durability, decreased changed grain size after heat treatment , improved strength and cutting performance
CORELESS® has no pattern per se. Forging the blade will make the pattern when the layers are disturbed under the hammer. The big advantage which this steel has over San Mai and Multi-Layered cored steels is that both grades in the steel are recognised mono steels and there is always a cutting edge along the blade in contact with the media being cut.
